Owen's 6 Month Session

Remember Owen? If you don't, check out his newborn session here. He was such an adorable little blue eyed newborn back then, but man oh man has he gotten even cuter! I met with Zack, Laura and Owen at Tanner Hall in Old Winter Garden yesterday, and I was greeted with a huge, beautiful smile from that precious little guy! He is such a content and happy baby, and can we just say BABY FEVER...sheesh! 6 months is the perfect age. Making them smile is as easy as blowing them a kiss, or even just smiling at them. Owen is such a perfect baby and I can't wait for his 1 year old photos in 6 months!

Baby Audra: 7 days new

Michelle and Kevin were in one of our past couples wedding earlier this year. Michelle was such a cute, pregnant bridesmaid, and I never thought I would be lucky enough to be one of the first to meet sweet little Audra. When they arrived today, they were both so clearly head over heels in love with their precious bundle! When I asked them about her, Kevin's face brightened up as he explained the love he feels for his daughter. It is always SO amazing to hear a dad talk about his newborn that way. The whole time, he and Michelle were just oogling over their sweet baby (who wouldn't?! She's precious!), and also over each other. I love seeing love so strong, and they definitely have it.

Baby Delaney: 1 week new

Meet the beautiful little Delaney. She is a week old and pure perfection. Her session started off with her wide awake (according to mom, any other day at that time she would have been sound asleep!). I usually expect this to happen since we are moving them around so much, changing them, etc. There is nothing wrong with getting photos of newborn's while they are awake, so I took that opportunity to do so. However, to mold them into different poses pretty much requires them to be sound asleep, so we patiently waited. And waited. And waited. When she finally snoozed away, I was able to capture some beautiful shots of her. Ahhh I just love this baby girl! I cannot wait for their family session in a few months! <3 Enjoy the sneak peek :)

Happy early Halloween! <3

Baby E: 8 days new

Baby Ethan is officially my family member, and I am so excited about it! He is my husband's second-cousin (therefore my second-cousin-in-law...right?), and I love him to pieces! The session was the second time I saw him, and he was even cuter than the first time! He was so alert throughout the majority of the session, but was perfectly calm (such a good baby!). When he fell asleep, I was able to get some great shots! Enjoy the sneak peek :)

Jonah: 8 days new

In case you don't remember Megan, Ryan and Addison from their maternity photos, here is a refresher: Maternity Session.

During their maternity session, they threw out the idea of having me there to photograph their natural birth at a birthing center. Having a love for medicine, I of course said yes right away! Then came the waiting..and waiting...and waiting. I was so excited to get a call from them last Sunday with the news that she was in labor. I hurried to the birthing center where I was greeted with the biggest smile by Addison. I spent quite a few hours with them while we waited for baby Lewman's arrival (sex was still unknown). Their plan was to have a water birth, so everything was set and ready to go for it. Megan was doing great, and everyone was in an overall good mood. We took a stroll around the block in hopes of speeding up the labor...but unfortunately nothing seemed to help. The decision was then for me to go home and expect a call from them when they really thought something would happen.

4am on Monday morning rolls around and I get a phone call from Ryan. They thought the baby would arrive in an hour or so, so I gathered my things and headed over to the birthing center again. 4 hours later, still nothing. :( The decision was made to head over to the hospital (poor Megan was running on 36 hours of labor!), so I went with them to keep an eye on Addison. I really loved the experience, and I loved being able to spend time with this precious little girl. She was so much fun to be around, and she has the biggest heart. Overhearing that a c-section may be in the near future, I decided to take Addison on a walk so she didn't have to witness anything like that. She was extremely brave to this point (very impressive for a 4 year old!), but it was obvious that she was struggling watching her mommy in so much pain. So off for a walk we went...and boom, 5 minutes later I get a text message from Ryan saying "it's a boy!" Of course. I spend 11 hours with them, and the 5 minutes I'm gone is when Jonah decides to make his grand entrance! Luckily it was natural (I guess Jonah heard "c-section" and said "no no, I'm coming out!"), and everything ended up great. He is as cute as a button, and I really had such a great time getting to know the family. Anyway, enough of my ranting and on to some photos! Enjoy! :)
