I met with Christine and Ryan yesterday in Thornton Park for their engagement session. Christine is such a cute, giggly bride and Ryan is clearly very much in love with her! It was an absolutely beautiful evening for a session; no clouds, perfect breeze, and perfect temperature. Why can't every day be like that??

Allison & Josh: Engaged! | Orlando Photographer

One of the benefits of going to bridal shows is the possibility of winning one of our door prizes. This beautiful and sweet couple was a door-prize winner from one of the shows last year. I am incredibly happy that I was able to photograph their engagement session for two reasons! First and foremost is that I got to meet them, and they're such an incredible couple! On top of how awesome they are, I was able to find new spots in Winter Park that I never even knew existed! Can we say "excited photographer!!!"? :-D

Unfortunately they booked a photographer only a week before they came to the bridal show, so we won't be photographing their wedding. It was really great working with them for their session though, and hopefully they'll come back for some Rock the Dress photos ;)

Kristin & Ryan: Married! | St. Pete Beach

I met Kristin years ago when we both trained together at Universal's Dueling Dragons ride. We got along from the get-go and spent a lot of time together at various "Dragons" events. Neither of us stayed there very long, but we did keep in touch throughout the years. When she contacted me about her wedding, I was so excited and honored that she wanted us to photograph her big day!

Kristin and Ryan's engagement session was a blast, and after that I knew their wedding would be just as great! Their wedding was at the beautiful Postcard Inn, located in St. Pete Beach. It was a perfect day for a beach wedding. The skies were completely clear, the temperature was fantastic, and the couple was beautiful <3

Tyler's Newborn Session

Sweet, precious, adorable little Tyler finally made his debut! He was such a good baby the entire session; no crying, no fussing...nothing. I fell head over heels in love with this little guy the moment I saw him, and I can't wait to see him again throughout the year for more photos!

Jen & Jeff: Engaged!

I have to start by saying that this is one of my favorite engagement sessions ever. I absolutely love how the photos turned out, the spot, and of course the extremely happy, in-love couple!

Jen and Jeff found us at a bridal show last year, and we were so excited when they decided to book us! I don't know what it is, but there's just something that I completely adore about them. Maybe it's the purple eyeshadow that Jen pulls off SO well, maybe it's how ridiculously beautiful they are together, or maybe a combination of many, many things. Meagan's Winter Garden Senior Session

Talk about a fun family! These four are so ridiculously entertaining to each other and also to me! I was smiling throughout their entire session in pure enjoyment of how close they are to each other and how laid back they all are. Meagan is graduating high school in a few short months and then heading out of state to college in August. I know her momma will miss her, but now they have a reason to leave Florida in the summer! :)

Austin's Winter Garden Senior Session

Austin was a pleasure to photograph this weekend. His aunt did my hair & makeup for our Rock the Dress session (check her out for your hair and makeup needs! Debras Dos and Makeup Too).

Austin is graduating high school soon, and man is he into guitar! I don't know that I've ever seen someone hold an instrument with such care, but the man loves his guitars without a doubt. We had a really great time, and I even managed to get some REAL smiles from him (woohoo!).

Ethan's Newborn Session

I hope everyone is having an excellent Thursday and looking forward to Friday! I got to spend my Thursday morning cuddling with sweet little Ethan. It's been a few months since I've photographed a newborn, and boy did I forget how bad the baby fever is that follows! We started the session focusing on the cute little poses, but towards the end I decided that I really wanted to capture some of the love that was floating all around the house. These new parents are clearly head-over-heals in love with their precious baby boy, so I just had to show some of that in the photos. And wouldn't you know it, those ended up being my favorites! :)

Ricky & Sue: Engaged!

Ricky and Sue are not only an incredible couple, but they also happen to be good friends of ours. They, like so many other couples we know, met online. The more couples I meet who have met this way, I start to wonder "if I was single, how would I meet someone?" Once you are out of school and in the "real world," it really isn't easy to meet new people. Even as a couple, we are constantly wanting to meet more couples our age with similar interests, but it's just not that easy. Most people don't want to meet their future spouse in a bar, and I imagine it's rare meeting someone you could fall in love with at work..so I believe in the online market 100%.

Between wedding planning and having just purchased a new home, they are busy bees right now. Thankfully she was able to squeeze in an e-session on her day off for MLK day yesterday. I hope you love the photos as much as I do! <3

Gary & Jane: Engaged!

Gary, an engineer, & Jane, an accountant, have been together for about a year now and they are eager to start their lives together. They met online through a dating site (not the first couple I've photographed to have great results from one of these sites, by the way!) and even though she lives in NY and he lives here, they have this wedding ready to go! We wish that we could be at their NY wedding in March, but we know it will be an absolutely beautiful one. They are mixing American and Chinese traditions into the ceremony, and I can't wait to see what their photographer captures that day. Lucky for us she will be moving here once they get married, so hopefully they will come to us when they're ready to start a family! :)

Shy & G: Engaged!

Shireen & Giardeau (Shy & G) are one of the most laid back couples I have met. They arrived to their session very early (I can't even explain how excited I get when that happens!) and started with a drink. It's a great thing to do, by the way, if you're anxious or nervous about the session. I do think that they would have been just as laid back without it though..it just seems like who they are and I love it.

We did their session in Thornton Park (essentially downtown Orlando), which just so happens to be the little area that Craig and I got married almost a year ago (I cannot believe it's already been that long). It's such a sweet area that has a nice touch of downtown without the downtown traffic/parking/hustle.

The end of their session was the best part: SPARKLERS! We spent some time getting them used to the flow of writing with them, and once we had that down we had a blast. It's a perfect way to tell your guests to save the date!

Chris Sheard: Actor

Chris Sheard: Fantastic actor, amazing friend, and the best man at our wedding! He and Craig have been friends since the good ol' awkward middle school days, and in him I have also gained a very good friend. He is our bohemian buddy who has been to almost every state in the U.S., and we adore when he comes back to Florida for a visit. Lucky for us, he was here for a good month this time around! Sheard was in need of some headshots, so I was pretty excited that he wanted me to take them. Even with the obnoxious wind that we had to escape from on occasion, we got some great shots of him! He's a natural model (and of course, actor). Love ya Sheard!

Josie Turns 13

Our last session of 2011 was such a sweet one! We have photographed this amazing family before, but this was a special session. Josie turned 13 on Dec. 31st and her dad took her out for photos followed by a celebratory dinner at Morton's Steakhouse. These two are one of the cutest father/daughter pairs I have ever seen! I already know that when Josie gets married one day, it is going to be very hard for her father to give her away. <3 We had a great time taking photos at the Ritz Carlton (gorgeous venue, by the way!). Jen: Trash the Dress

Jen is one of our past brides, and when she said she wanted to actually trash her dress..well, I was psyched! Jen is a law student in Chicago, so we've been trying to plan this session around when she would be back in town for a visit. The day finally arrived, and so did the dress she purchased just for the shoot. We did her session in a beautiful field in Ocoee, and I decided that creating a whole setting would be perfect for it! After some stunning natural shots, we started having some fun with the paint. I think they turned out really well and I hope you do too!

Alex & Ryan Tie the Knot!

This was one of those weddings that makes me say again and again how much I LOVE my job! Alex and Ryan are such a beautiful couple, both inside and out, and so are their family and friends. When I met with them a few months ago, I loved their completely relaxed personalities, and also the fact that they were having a Greek wedding! I hadn't photographed a Greek wedding yet, but there were some traditions that I knew of and was so excited to be able to photograph them! The ceremony was beautiful, and I loved that we caught so many photos of them glancing at each other with loving eyes. I'm telling you...these two were totally meant for each other! I just wanted to squeeze them both the entire time, but the professional side of me opted against that. ;) They're just so cute together!

Alex and her 10 bridesmaids were so gorgeous, and to top if off, they were all incredibly sweet. I had a great time photographing them getting ready, and I know Jen enjoyed capturing the guys. Everyone just looked fantastic, and we were really honored to take part in such a beautiful day.

Stacy's Maternity Session | Winter Park, FL

Let me start off by saying how adorable this little family of 3 (soon to be 4) is! There is so much love between them, it's impossible not to smile when you're around them all.

Craig and I met with them in Winter Park this past Friday, and we all just clicked from the start. Brandon, Craig and Jon kept each other amused by playing imaginary football while I took some photos of Stacy. It was perfect and I know the boys had a great time!

Stacy has the most perfect belly ever, and I can only hope I look like her when I'm pregnant some day! Standing behind her, you would never know she was pregnant. It literally looks like she swallowed a basketball..it's so adorable!

Lily's Winter Park, FL Session

I can't express enough how much I adore this little girl! Lily is not only a beautiful toddler, but she is so sweet and happy.

We just barely dodged the rain in our Winter Park session yesterday. Of course the weather was *PERFECT* all day, and minutes after I arrived it started to rain. Thankfully the weather held up for the rest of the session, and I am very pleased with the outcome! Since it is difficult to actually get a toddler to sit still long enough to smile for a photo, candid shots are pretty much the goal for these sessions. Lily did a great job of just being CUTE. I love the candid photos of her..but in all honesty, how could you get a bad photo of such an adorable little girl??

Haley & Tyler: Engaged!

Haley and Tyler are just a cute, cute, CUTE couple. They met when her mom hired a company (Tyler's family) to do some construction work on the house, and for some reason I think that is a great "how we met" story!

I met with them this morning at Oakland Nature Preserve. Other than the mosquitoes and the occasional walks through spider webs, it was a perfect session! They go hunting together, so they wanted to incorporate that aspect of their lives into their session by wearing camo. I thought it was a really cute and unique idea and I love how the photos turned out.

Kelleigh & Karl: Engaged!

Kelleigh & Karl are one of the sweetest couples we have ever met! They decided they wanted their engagement session on a beach, but they also wanted some other options nearby for a different look. Her hair dresser found this incredible location at Flagler Beach, and we were so pumped for this session! She explained that there were going to be large rocks, so I already had a few images in my head of some shots I wanted. I could only hope that the rocks she explained were really what I had pictured, and I was beyond excited to see that they were! When Craig and I got there, I told him that I really wished there were more clouds. About 30 minutes later, the most beautiful clouds showed up to put the final touches on the photos I had hoped for.

We had such a great time with these two. They were willing to do anything, and we just LOVE that! At the end of the session, she even gave us a box of cookies that she made for us. They were delicious!!! :) Thanks so much Kelleigh and Karl. We wish we could be there to photograph your wedding at Sandals next year! :)

Toni & Gus Tie the Knot!

I remember when I met with Toni and Gus at Starbucks to talk about their wedding plans. They were so laid back and so in love. When they told me they were going to book us, I was beyond excited. I knew she would be such a stunning bride (and she absolutely was!) and that he would be a handsome groom. Caitlin and Austin are such a sweet and beautiful couple. I met Caitlin and her mom and a bridal show earlier this year, and when they decided to book us I was so excited! Caitlin is such a petite and gorgeous girl that I knew the photos would just be amazing! I just fell in love with their venue (Royal Crest Room in St. Cloud, FL). It is such a gorgeous location, and the staff there is incredible.

When we were preparing for the family photos, I was floored by the amount of family just on Caitlin's mom's side. It was beautiful to see so much family and so much love all around. Caitlin and Austin really have a great network of family and friends, and you just can't ask for much more than that! :) The wedding was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the couple was just to die for!

Owen's 6 Month Session

Remember Owen? If you don't, check out his newborn session here. He was such an adorable little blue eyed newborn back then, but man oh man has he gotten even cuter! I met with Zack, Laura and Owen at Tanner Hall in Old Winter Garden yesterday, and I was greeted with a huge, beautiful smile from that precious little guy! He is such a content and happy baby, and can we just say BABY FEVER...sheesh! 6 months is the perfect age. Making them smile is as easy as blowing them a kiss, or even just smiling at them. Owen is such a perfect baby and I can't wait for his 1 year old photos in 6 months!

Allison & Pete Are Engaged!

I met Allison and Pete freshmen year of college in the dorms at UCF. The whole floor was new and everyone was getting to know each other...but I am sure that neither of them expected to find their soul mate in their dorms. From the beginning of their friendship, our entire floor was just impatiently waiting for them to realize that they were going to end up together. We all knew it, but it took them a while to figure it out! They were such good friends (and SO cute together), and I can't even explain how happy I was when I found out they were finally dating. Then when I found out they were ENGAGED...holy cow was I excited!

Being able to photograph Allison and Pete's engagement was really special, especially since it was at good ol' UCF! I adore going on campus. It just brings back so many great memories of the amazing friends I gained and also the countless hours I spent studying. It still blows my mind that I spent 6 years studying hard core for my Micro and Molecular Biology degree, and I ended up falling in love with photography afterwards. It just goes to show that you never know what life will throw your way!

Jessica & Ray Tie the Knot!

This Cocoa Beach, FL wedding was my cup of tea! I love weddings where the couple puts their personal touch everywhere. It shows me that they truly enjoyed the process and wanted to make sure their wedding was one-of-a-kind. Ray and Jessica's wedding was just that; a truly special, one-of-a-kind, amazing wedding. I have to admit that I don't think I have ever seen a family bonded so strongly like theirs. Watching the connection Jessica and her father have was so heart warming...I really couldn't get enough of it! Throughout the evening, the love from both families just poured out and everyone had such an incredible time. The weather was phenomenal, the couple was beautiful, and well..I just love the photos we were able to capture!

Chris & Mary's Mini-Session

Mary, Chris and baby Layla are one of the cutest little families ever. Mary and Chris have been our friends for quite some time now, and we were just thrilled to find out they were pregnant! In fact, Mary and Chris were one of the very first couples we photographed!

I was so excited to be able to photograph their maternity photos as well as Layla's newborn photos. It has been a while since I'd seen them, so when she showed up with this little doll in her arms I just about lost it! Layla is such a teeny tiny little baby, and she is oh-so-sweet! I feel comfortable in saying that she is one of the most content baby's I have ever photographed. I wouldn't expect it any other way though with Mary and Chris being the laid back, happy-go-lucky parents that they are. Anyway, enough babbling and more photos! Let me start this post by saying that Gus and Toni are getting married THIS WEEKEND! We cannot wait for their big day!

I met with the three of them (third being their dog, Chucky) at Kraft Azalea Gardens in Winter Park last week for their mini session. We had just enough time to catch some beautiful light from the sunset. In fact, one of the reasons that I love Kraft Azalea Gardens is because of the amazing sunset view! I first photographed there a month or so ago, and I am now officially addicted to it. :)

Haley & James tie the knot!

Let me begin by saying 'thank you' to Haley and James for allowing us to be part of your amazing wedding! You two are such an incredible couple, and Craig and I were very honored to be part of your day.

I met the two of them almost a year ago when they contacted me for their engagement session. After that, they decided to fly us out to GA to be their wedding photographers. I was thrilled because I had such a blast with them for their e-session and I just knew their wedding would be extraordinary. Over the months, Haley and I have kept in touch to make sure things were good to go for their big day.

On Saturday morning in Madison, GA, we went to this amazing little cafe recommended by Haley and James (Perk Avenue---they have the BEST Nutella coffee ever). It was pretty cold for us Floridians, but the hot drinks made it just right. When it was finally time to head to the venue, we were floored by the scenery. We pulled into The Farmhouse Inn at Hundred Acre Farm and just couldn't believe how beautiful it was. There were chickens crossing the road (literally...), cows, goats...it was amazing! If we lived in GA, that is absolutely where we would have gotten married!

Haley and James were so relaxed and just ready to get the ball rolling. The best part of everything was how much time they allotted for photos. If I can recommend anything to a couple, it would be to do the "first look." You have no idea the amount of photos we can get in 2-3 hours rather than just a short hour (or less). We were able to capture everything they wanted and more! Overall, I think part of the reason they were so relaxed is because the pressure of seeing each other at the ceremony for the first time was non-existent. Because they did the first look, this sneak peek is MUCH larger than any other that I've done (another benefit!).

Malyn & Brenden tie the knot!

Malyn and Brenden were married this past weekend at the beautiful St. Mary Magdalen church in Altamonte Springs, FL. Their ceremony was beautiful, and I loved catching them giving each other loving looks throughout the entire thing. After the ceremony, we were able to get some quick photos right off of Park Avenue (one of my favorites!), and then off to the reception we went! The reception was held at the Woman's Club in Winter Park. It's a very cute little venue, and Malyn and Brenden really created a nice ambiance with their vintage inspired theme.

I hope you two had a great time at your wedding and a relaxing honeymoon!

Trash the Dress: The Allen's

Liz and I met years ago at school, and when she said she was interested in getting some Trash/Rock the Dress photos taken, I was beyond excited! It has been almost four years since their wedding. After having a beautiful baby girl and the dress sitting in the closet collecting dust, Liz finally decided it was time to get some wedding photos she would really love!

We all know that I love photographing weddings, but I never feel like I get to have enough time with the couple (unless of course they do a first look). A session like this allows for the perfect setting of your choice for your wedding photos. We are able to time it so that we get the best lighting, and also find amazing locations that really make you and your dress stand out. Not just that, but you can mix and match some really fantastic accessories that you just can't wear on your wedding day! What better way to feel like the glamorous model that you are than with a Trash/Rock the Dress session? :-)

We had such an amazing time during their shoot last night. Liz and Sean, I hope you love the photos as much as I do! You are so insanely beautiful. <3

Kristina & Tim: Engaged!

Kristina and I went to UCF together for our degrees in Micro and Molecular Biology. We had a few classes together, but unfortunately never really got to know each other. Either way, I was excited when she contacted me about her engagement photos a few months ago! We met when it was still pretty dark out yesterday morning, but I have to say that it was absolutely worth it in order to get the beautiful lighting. I hope you guys love the photos as much as I do! :)

Trista & Ben: Engaged!

Trista, Ben and Cooper (the fuzzy one) met with me nice and early on Saturday morning for their e-session. It was BEAUTIFUL weather with perfectly clear skies. Cecilia & Anthony Tie the Knot!

What can I say about this couple? They are beautiful inside and out, selfless, loving, giving, respectful...the list could go on and on!

When I met with Cecilia and Anthony, I remember telling them that I can just imagine a little cartoon heart floating between them. Their love is so real and strong that I could see it from the instant they walked in. Cecilia herself is one of the happiest women I have ever met. Being around her is so refreshing, and she has truly become a friend during her wedding planning process.

It wasn't just Anthony and Cecilia that were amazing that night; their friends and family were to die for! The party could have lasted forever had they not had a time frame! The bridesmaids were gorgeous and sweet, and the groomsmen were absolutely hilarious. Jen and I were laughing throughout the entire wedding. If Cecilia and Anthony had half as much fun as we did, the wedding was a HUGE success! We love you guys! <3

Jeremy's mom, who worked with my husband, contacted us about photographing his and Lisa's wedding. This was one of the first times (if not the first time) that I hadn't actually met the couple before the big day. I spoke with Lisa beforehand about details of their wedding, but hadn't met in person. When I walked into her bridal suite, I was floored. She was absolutely stunning! Even the monsoon we've been dealing with this entire weekend didn't take that beautiful smile off of her face. The wedding was beautiful!

Baby Audra: 7 days new

Michelle and Kevin were in one of our past couples wedding earlier this year. Michelle was such a cute, pregnant bridesmaid, and I never thought I would be lucky enough to be one of the first to meet sweet little Audra. When they arrived today, they were both so clearly head over heels in love with their precious bundle! When I asked them about her, Kevin's face brightened up as he explained the love he feels for his daughter. It is always SO amazing to hear a dad talk about his newborn that way. The whole time, he and Michelle were just oogling over their sweet baby (who wouldn't?! She's precious!), and also over each other. I love seeing love so strong, and they definitely have it.

Baby Delaney: 1 week new

Meet the beautiful little Delaney. She is a week old and pure perfection. Her session started off with her wide awake (according to mom, any other day at that time she would have been sound asleep!). I usually expect this to happen since we are moving them around so much, changing them, etc. There is nothing wrong with getting photos of newborn's while they are awake, so I took that opportunity to do so. However, to mold them into different poses pretty much requires them to be sound asleep, so we patiently waited. And waited. And waited. When she finally snoozed away, I was able to capture some beautiful shots of her. Ahhh I just love this baby girl! I cannot wait for their family session in a few months! <3 Enjoy the sneak peek :)

Baby E: 8 days new

Baby Ethan is officially my family member, and I am so excited about it! He is my husband's second-cousin (therefore my second-cousin-in-law...right?), and I love him to pieces! The session was the second time I saw him, and he was even cuter than the first time! He was so alert throughout the majority of the session, but was perfectly calm (such a good baby!). In case you don't remember Megan, Ryan and Addison from their maternity photos, here is a refresher: Maternity Session.

During their maternity session, they threw out the idea of having me there to photograph their natural birth at a birthing center. Having a love for medicine, I of course said yes right away! Then came the waiting..and waiting...and waiting. I was so excited to get a call from them last Sunday with the news that she was in labor. I hurried to the birthing center where I was greeted with the biggest smile by Addison. I spent quite a few hours with them while we waited for baby Lewman's arrival (sex was still unknown). Their plan was to have a water birth, so everything was set and ready to go for it. Megan was doing great, and everyone was in an overall good mood. We took a stroll around the block in hopes of speeding up the labor...but unfortunately nothing seemed to help. The decision was then for me to go home and expect a call from them when they really thought something would happen.

4am on Monday morning rolls around and I get a phone call from Ryan. They thought the baby would arrive in an hour or so, so I gathered my things and headed over to the birthing center again. 4 hours later, still nothing. :( The decision was made to head over to the hospital (poor Megan was running on 36 hours of labor!), so I went with them to keep an eye on Addison. I really loved the experience, and I loved being able to spend time with this precious little girl. She was so much fun to be around, and she has the biggest heart. Overhearing that a c-section may be in the near future, I decided to take Addison on a walk so she didn't have to witness anything like that. She was extremely brave to this point (very impressive for a 4 year old!), but it was obvious that she was struggling watching her mommy in so much pain. So off for a walk we went...and boom, 5 minutes later I get a text message from Ryan saying "it's a boy!" Of course. I spend 11 hours with them, and the 5 minutes I'm gone is when Jonah decides to make his grand entrance! Luckily it was natural (I guess Jonah heard "c-section" and said "no no, I'm coming out!"), and everything ended up great. He is as cute as a button, and I really had such a great time getting to know the family. Anyway, enough of my ranting and on to some photos! Enjoy! :)

Stella & Tom: Married!

Last year I decided to become part of an amazing organization called Wish Upon a Wedding. If you haven't heard of it, you should really check it out! It is a non-profit organization granting wedding wishes to couples who may be facing life-altering or terminal illnesses.

Not long after I donated wedding photography to WUAW did I get an e-mail stating that someone bid on my services. It was really exciting, I have to say! Rosie (27 Miracles Wedding Consulting) helped Stella and Tom find many vendors for their wedding. I met Stella and Tom at last years Christmas event thrown by Rosie and her team. And as luck would have it for them, they also won the door prize for a free session that I gave away at the event! :) They used it for an engagement session, and I am so happy that they did. It allowed us to get comfortable with each other and make sure that they would be ready for the spotlight on their big day! This past weekend was their beautiful military wedding. It was really amazing being part of this, and I look forward to participating in Wish Upon a Wedding more in the future.

Caitlin & Austin: Engaged!

Wow! After 4 attempts at their engagement session (after weather and other mishaps), we finally managed to do it! I've come to the realization that evening sessions in the summer are too risky for my liking! We decided on a morning session, and our 5th attempt at the engagement photos finally went through. It ended up being a beautiful morning with very few people walking around Boardwalk. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves for the majority of the session, and everything went smoothly. Joelle & Andy: Married!

Joelle & Andy were married yesterday at the beautiful St. James Cathedral Church in downtown Orlando. Their wedding was classic and beautiful, as were the two of them. Let me just say that the love these two have for each other is very apparent. Throughout the ceremony, I constantly found them giving each other looks of pure joy and love.

Wow...what can I say about this family? When I saw them start unpacking their car with props after props, I couldn't help but just smile from ear-to-ear! I had such a blast with this family! Each member brought something that represented them, and they were all such a joy to photograph. The siblings got along so well, and it seems very clear to me that this family has a strong bond.
